Location

Most of the rainforests are located in Southeast Asia, and smaller rainforests are located in Central America. Many of the big rainforests are being cleared and cut down for cattle ranching and sugar cane plantations. Rainforests cover a small part of the world, only 6%.

Climate

The rainforests have alot of Rainfall per year, hense there name. The climate caters for the animals habitat seeing as many of the animals need the cool habitats. The rainforest canopy prevents the sun from coming in so the floor of the rainforest is always cool. This is not good for the plants on the floor as it's very hard to get sunlight for photosynthesis. Furthermore, the rainfall is around 250cm per year. This is because its very hot and wet.

Human Threat/Use

Humans use Rainforests for Tourism most of the time. Companies offer camping in Rainforests and zipling on the canopy. This is bad for the animals as it disturbs their peace and scares them away from their habitat. Furthermore, humans also cut down the trees in the rainforest and replace them with sugar cane farms. The humans have to cut down several patches of trees to make paths for the trucks to come to export the sugar.
